Grillin’ for Healing

UX/UI design, UX research / testing

Project Type:  Self Directed Team

Project Date: 2023-2025

Role: Graphic Design / UI Design / UX Research and Testing

The Grillin’ for Healing is an annual BBQ competition and community fundraiser supporting the Hearts & Hands Clinic in Bulloch County, Georgia. The goal for this project was to create a functional fully functional, user-friendly website that will streamline event registration, sponsorship, and donations, all while elevating the event’s brand identity.

To establish a cohesive visual identity from the start, I created a style guide for GFH (scroll through below). This guide defined the site’s color palette, typography, and design elements, serving as the foundation for all development and branding decisions.

The client had three distinct user groups which we centered the design around, donors, BBQ competitor, and volunteers. User research efforts centered around these three groups to understand and eliminate user friction the the overall site experience.

The team drafted a user research report and implemented changes to the beta site based on the feedback we received.
